The Gujarat chapter has started in 1999.

We have enrolled 602 members till today.

We are conducting 3 to 4 CME every year in different zones. We have 5 zones in our state.

Next CME will be held on 14th June 09 at Jamnagar on obesity and renal surgery.

One more CME will be held on 16th Aug. 09 at Ahmedabad on anorectal diseases.

About 80 to 100 delegates are attending the CME.

The annual conferences will be held on 28th and 29th Nov. 09 at Surat. The latest development will be highlighted on both days. We are expecting about 500 delegates in this mega event.

Every year the president and his team are elected from each zone one by one.

All CMEs and annual conference are organized jointly with GUJARAT STATE SURGEONS ASSOCIATION (GSSA), which has about 1200 members. Our target is to increase the strength of our chapter to this level shortly.

We are regularly arranging camps in our areas to help the poor and needy population with the help of diff. NGOs.
