Rules and Regulations
The oration will be given at the Annual Conference of the Association.
The Nomination should be sponsored by atleast two ordinary Full/Life Members of ASI.
Nominee should be an Indian Surgeon and shall be a member in good standing of ASI.
The Orator shall be selected from the Nomination by the Committee appointed by the Association.
The subject of the Oration must relate to surgery in any clinical discipline and the lecture should be based on original work done by him. A synopsis of the topic must be submitted.
12 copies of the Curriculum vitae and Scientific publications highlighting the scientific contributions of the Nominee in advancing the knowledge of surgery in India should be sent to the Hony. Secretary, The Association of Surgeons of India, 21, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 before 31st JULY 2010.
The nominee should submit a summary of the topic of the oration while applying along with bio-data.
The Committee constituted by the President for this purpose every year consisting of senior members will scrutinize the applications and the topics received and makes the selection.
Give details of the ASI Awards/Fellowships so far received during the last 10 years.
Free registration and local hospitality will be provided to the Orator by the Organisers of ASICON.
