Dr.Panchanan Chatterjee Endowment Lectures
   
 
Rules and Regulations
   
 
  1. The oration will be given at the Annual Conference of the Association.
  2. The nomination for this award should be sponsored by at least two ordinary, Full/Life Members of A.S.I.
  3. Nominee should be a Foreign Surgeon or an Indian Surgeon settled in abroad and he should not be less than 40 years of age.
  4. The subject of his lecture must relate to Surgery in any Clinical discipline or Basic Medical Sciences and the lecture should be based on original work done by him. A synopsis of topic must be given.
  5. Confirmation certificate of the candidate should be enclosed along with the application.
  6. The nominee should submit a summary of the topic of the oration while applying along with bio-data.
  7. The Committee constituted by the President for this purpose every year consisting of senior members will scrutinize the applications and the topics received and makes the selection.
  8. Ten copies of the curriculum vitae and Scientific publications highlighting the Scientific contributions of the nominee in advancing the knowledge of Surgery in India should be sent to the Hony. Secretary, The Association of Surgeons of India, 21, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 so as to reach him on or BEFORE THE 31ST JULY 2010.
  9. Free registration and local hospitality will be provided to the Orator by the Organisers of ASICON.
   
 

The following information should be sent by the sponsors.

   
 
1.

Bio-data of the nominee with particulars of outstanding work done by him and list of publications, Research articles, books, etc. published by him.

2.

Whether the work done has been original, if so, whether it was done in collaboration with others and whether it was in this Country or abroad.

3.

Nominee's contribution to the Indian Surgery.

4.

Give details of the ASI Awards/Fellowships so far received during the last 10 years.

5. The selection will be made by the Award scrutinizing Committee.
   
 

NOTE: Nomination received for a particular year will be considered only for that year and it will not be considered for the subsequent years
