Rules and Regulations
Nominations are invited for the year 2011.
The nominee should be a member of the Association of Surgeons of India and a person of National and International repute.
The person who has already delivered the Col. Pandalai Oration is not to be considered for this oration.
The nominee should submit a summary of the topic of the oration while applying along with bio-data.
The Committee constituted by the President for this purpose every year consisting of senior members will scrutinize the applications and the topics received and makes the selection.
The subject of the oration must relate to Surgery in any Clinical discipline or basic Medical Sciences for the Natural Sciences. Alternatively the subject may be of philosophical nature again with a back ground of Surgery. A synopsis of the oration should also be submitted.
10 copies of Curriculum Vitae and Scientific publication highlighting the Scientific contribution of the nominee in advancing knowledge of surgery in India should be sent to the Hony. Secretary, 21, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 before 31st July 2010.
The topic selected should be delivered by the nominee in person at the annual conference of ASI.
Free registration and local hospitality will be provided to the Orator by the Organisers of ASICON.
