Brig (Dr) Rasamay Ganguly Memorial Oration for the Year – 2011
Rules and Regulations
He should be a dedicated eminent surgeon of Indian origin preferably a member in good standing of ASI whose work and skills in any field of surgery has been recognized nationally and preferably internationaly.
International recognition means publications in medical journals, presentations at conferences, endorsements by his peer group and recognized teaching institutions.
All nominations for the oration must be accompanied by a short write up by the candidate himself giving reasons as why he should be considered for the prize.
Holding of Presidentship of ASI / subsection of ASI or post of Governing Council should not be considered a prerequisite for the oration.
He should include a short bio-data of Brig.(Dr) Rasamay Ganguly in his oration.
The Nomination should be sponsored by atleast two ordinary Full/Life Members of ASI.
The nominee should submit a summary of the topic of the oration while applying along with bio-data.
The Committee constituted by the President for this purpose every year consisting of senior members will scrutinize the applications and the topics received and makes the selection.
10 copies of Curriculum Vitae and Abstract of the oration should be sent to the Hony. Secretary, the Association of Surgeons of India, 21, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai-600 005 on or before 31ST JULY 2010.
The oration will be delivered at the Annual Conference of the Association. 11. Free registration and local hospitality will be provided to the Orator by the Organisers of ASICON.
