Ethicon Travelling Fellowship in Rural Surgery - 2011 |

- This Fellowship is meant to be utilised only within our Country.
- This Fellowship will be given to a Surgeon, who is below the age of 50 years on 30.5.2010 and had obtained his postgraduate qualifications in General Surgery.
- The selected candidate will spend a period of 2-3 weeks in a centre of his choice, which should be mutually agreed between himself and the Centre, for updating his knowledge in a given surgical speciality.
- The Fellowship will have to be availed of in the same year and will not be allowed to be carried forward.
- The Application for this Fellowship in the format enclosed (10 copies) will have to be filled up by the candidate and sent to the Hony.Secretary, The Association of Surgeons of India, 21, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 on or before 15TH SEPTEMBER, 2010.
- The selected candidate must sent a detailed report on the training obtained, to the ASI Head Office, after he completes his Fellowship Training, with a Certificate from the Head of the Institution on or before 15th September 2011. A report from the institution should also be sent to ASI Head Quarters.
- Cheque will be paid to the candidate by the Association Head Quarters, on completing the Fellowship Training and sending his report to Head Quarters, before the date prescribed.
- A certificate & Award Cheque will be given to the Fellow, during the Annual Conference of the A.S.I.
- Give details of the ASI Awards/Fellowships so far received during the last 10 years.
