- This Fellowship is meant to be utilised only within our country.
- This Fellowship will be given to a surgeon, who is below the age of 35 years on 30.5.2010 and has obtained his postgraduate qualifications in General Surgery.
- The selected candidate will spend a period of 2-3 weeks in a centre of his choice, which should be mutually agreed between himself and the Centre, for updating his knowledge in a given surgical speciality.
- The Fellowship will have to be availed of in the same year and will not be allowed to be carried forward.
- The Application for this Fellowship in the proforma enclosed ( 10 copies) has to be filled up by the candidate and sent to the Hony. Secretary, The Association Surgeons of India, 21,, Swamy Sivananda Salai, Chepauk, Chennai – 600 005 on or before 15TH SEPTEMBER 2010.
- The selected candidate must send a detailed report on the Training obtained to the ASI Head Office, after he completes his Fellowship Training, with a Certificate from the Head of the Institute where he had training before 15th September 2011. A report from the institution should be sent to ASI Headquarters.
- A certificate & Award Cheque will be given to the candidate by the Association, on completing the Fellowship Training and sending his report to Headquarters before the prescribed date. The award will be given during the Annual Conference of the ASI.
- Give details of the ASI Awards/Fellowships so far received during the last 10 years.
